The Burden Of Hope - NR 029   (2003)

Awesomely communicative but entirely instrumental, Grails’ violin, guitars, piano, and drums collide with somber melodies and massive emotion. Grails have their fair share of ambient noise, but their music is based on strong, narrative melodies that resonate in the heart.

Redlight - NR 034   (2004)

The anxious tension, extreme dynamics and urgent tone of Redlight briefly glances back upon the rather lush and even-keeled feel of Grails' debut (often compared to Godspeed You Black Emperor, Dirty Three) and then torches the path it has traveled.
